Top Ten Secondary Characters

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme started over at The Broke and the Bookish where they give us a topic and we give our top ten.

This week is ten memorable secondary characters.

1. Magnus Bane (The Shadowhunter Chronicles by Cassandra Clare)
It's debatable that he's really a secondary character. But I think it's pretty obvious that he at least started that way. But he is certainly a scene stealer.

2. Jamie Roth (The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin)
He's so snarky and so funny. I was so excited when he came back in Evolution.

3. Doctor Barlow and Count Volger (Leviathan Trilogy by Scott Westerfeld)
I love both of them. They both have a really good idea of what's going on and they're both really clever about. I just did them both in one since they're from the same series.

4. Sam Wu (Curse Workers by Holly Black)
Sam is pretty much up for anything. Even if he doesn't start that way he can pretty much be talked into anything. Plus he can go head to head with Cassel's sarcasm.

5. George Holly (The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater)
He's so blunt about the things that neither Sean nor Puck seem willing to talk about. But he's also going to spur Sean into action. He pushes Sean to act, makes him see that things are possible.

6. Finnick Odair (The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins)
My love for Finnick is pretty well know and I honestly feel like he is one of the best secondary characters I've ever seen.

7. Jasper Whitlock Hale (Twilight by Stephanie Meyer)
Okay, say what you want but he had a really fascinating story. His and Alice's plot are far more interesting than Bella and Edward's.

8. Lucas Cader (Where Things Come Back by John Corey Whaley)
He is perfectly set against Cullen. Cullen never really loses hope because he can't quite let go but he shows it with extreme cynicism. Lucas is the endlessly hopeful and silver-lining guy. He needs to think that things are going to be okay.

9. Angela Montgomery (The Lynburn Legacy by Sarah Rees Brennan)
She's so funny. So angry. I just love her.

10. Sturmhond (The Grisha Trilogy by Leigh Bardugo)
Okay, so he's probably technically a main character...maybe? He's pretty big is Siege and Storm... Anyway. I love him. He's no Mal, but I adore him.

Who are your ten secondary characters?
